1. Overview
Welcome to Latmay. Latmay is a free web-based job matching site operated by Alon Duvall at https://latmay.com.
By using Latmay, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Latmay Privacy Policy at https://latmay.com/privacy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What Latmay Does
Latmay helps users compare their background with job postings and receive automated job recommendations.
Users may upload or paste resume information and job preferences. Latmay may use automated ranking, embeddings, machine learning, text analysis, AI search, or similar tools to analyze resume and job text.
Latmay is not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, or career advisor. Latmay does not guarantee that any job recommendation will be accurate, available, suitable, complete, or up to date, or that use of the site will lead to an interview, job offer, or employment.
3. Who May Use Latmay
Latmay is intended for users who are 18 years old or older.
By using the site, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and that your use of the site is lawful where you live.
4. Accounts
Latmay offers optional user accounts. Account authentication is provided by Firebase Authentication, a Google service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
If you create an account:
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not share your account, use another person's account without permission, or attempt to access accounts or data belonging to others.
You agree to provide accurate account information.
Latmay may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or pose a security risk. If your account is terminated, your saved profile information may be deleted.
You may delete your account at any time from within the site. When account deletion completes successfully, Latmay deletes your saved resume profile from its database and requests deletion of your Firebase Authentication account, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. User-Submitted Information
You are responsible for the information you submit to Latmay. You should not submit information that you do not have the right to provide.
Latmay does not intentionally request sensitive personal information. Resumes may contain sensitive information if users choose to include it, so you should avoid submitting sensitive information unless you believe it is necessary.
You grant Latmay permission to process the information you submit only as needed to operate the service, analyze your background, compare it with job postings, return job recommendations, maintain the site, improve the service in ways consistent with the Privacy Policy, troubleshoot problems, and protect the site from misuse.
If you choose to save a resume profile to your account, you also permit Latmay to retain and process the derived information described in the Privacy Policy (such as embeddings, detected skills and technologies, and related metadata) until you delete the saved profile or your account.
6. Job Postings and Third-Party Sources
Job postings shown through Latmay may come from third-party sources. Latmay does not control those third-party postings and is not responsible for their accuracy, availability, content, hiring decisions, application processes, or external websites.
If you click a link to a third-party website, that website's own terms and privacy policy apply.
Latmay does not send your resume to employers or job sources.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Latmay. For example, you may not:
Use the site for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or misleading purposes.
Upload malicious code, viruses, or content intended to interfere with the site.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Latmay, its systems, other users' accounts or data, or its service providers' systems.
Overload, scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or interfere with the site in a way that harms or disrupts the service.
Use Latmay to violate someone else's privacy, intellectual property rights, or other legal rights.
8. Intellectual Property
Latmay includes software, design, text, and other site materials created by or for Alon Duvall, except for third-party content such as job postings or other materials from outside sources.
You may use Latmay for your own personal job search purposes. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the site or its materials without permission.
You keep ownership of your resume and other information you submit.
9. Privacy
Latmay's collection and use of personal information is described in the Latmay Privacy Policy at https://latmay.com/privacy.
By using Latmay, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and Changes
Latmay is currently provided as a free service. The site may change, stop working, or be discontinued at any time, with or without notice.
Latmay may update job data, ranking methods, features, design, or these Terms as the site changes. Updated Terms will be posted on this page. Continued use of the site after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
11. No Warranty
Latmay is provided "as is" and "as available."
Latmay does not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, complete, or suitable for your needs. Job recommendations are automated and may contain mistakes.
Information derived from your resume, such as detected skills, technologies, and embeddings-based matching, is generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
You are responsible for reviewing job postings, employers, application requirements, and career decisions for yourself.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Latmay and Alon Duvall will not be liable for anything arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the site, whether such liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory.
Latmay and Alon Duvall will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or similar damages arising out of or related to your use of the site, including lost opportunities, lost income, lost data, employment outcomes, or problems caused by third-party websites or job postings.
Some laws do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
To the fullest extent allowed by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Latmay and Alon Duvall from and against any claims, liabilities, costs, demands, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your misuse of Latmay, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
